Half the calls a front desk gets are "what do I owe" and "how do I cancel." A tenant who can look that up and act on it themselves is a call you didn't have to take.
See every invoice and payment on their account, download a receipt, and pay a balance online. Ask to move out, naming the date they'll be gone, and take that notice back if their plans change.
What stays with you
A move-out request is a request, not an event: nothing about the unit, the tenant's status, or the gate changes until you accept it. That's a deliberate line — a tenant tapping a button in a browser should not be able to end their own tenancy or make a unit unrentable on their own say-so.
It doesn't decide anything on your behalf. Every move-out notice sits in your queue for a person to accept — the same review the console has always required, just with the paperwork already filled in.
